The other day my friend, Brenda, went to Wal-Mart to buy a rod and reel for Jimmy. She didn’t know which one to get so she just grabbed one and went over to the register. There was a sales guy at the register with dark glasses on.

She said “excuse me sir-can you tell me anything about this rod and reel?”

The salesman said,” Ma’am I’m blind but if you drop it on the counter I can tell you everything you need to know about it from the sound that it makes.”

Of course Brenda didn’t believe him but she dropped it on the counter anyway.

He said “That’s a 5 foot graphite rod with a Zebco404 reel and an 8 pound test line---.

It’s a good all round rod and reel and it’s only $20.

Brenda said “It’s amazing you can tell all that just by the sound of it dropping on the counter—I think it’s what I’m looking for so I’ll take it”.

As Brenda was opening her purse she dropped her wallet. When she bent over to pick it up, she accidentally passed gas. At first she was really embarrassed, but thought there was no way he could tell it was her, because being blind, he wouldn’t know that she was the only person around.

He rang up the sale, and said “that will be $34.50”.

Brenda said “but didn’t you say it was $20?”

He said, “Yes Ma’am—the rod and reel is $20. The duck call is $11 and the catfish stink bait is $3.50…………..
