The BRAT Diet (good to keep in mind for sick children): The BRAT diet consists of foods that are exceptionally plain and low in fiber. Low-fiber foods were recommended as it was thought that foods high in fiber cause gas and possibly worsen gastrointestinal upset.

An acronym, BRAT is a mnemonic for:bananas, rice, apple sauce and toast, the staples of the diet. Extensions to the BRAT diet include BRATT (with tea), BRATTY (with tea and yogurt), and BRATCH (with chicken, often boiled). Sometimes the "T" represents tapioca.

Testimonials

“My first visit to Dresden Specialty Clinic was great – the employees were very cordial, friendly and had pleasant smiles on their faces. They didn’t treat you as a number but as a client to take care of you and your needs. Missy, the lab tech, was very professional, friendly and courteous.  I appreciate being introduced to each person involved in my care.  It made you feel like you were a part of their big family.”
