The Dresden Specialty Clinic is McKenzie Medical Center’s second satellite clinic. It opened its doors for business on December 28, 2009. The initial goal was to provide further family medicine options for Dresden and the surrounding area while maintaining MMC’s mission statement: to provide the same medical care for our patients as we would expect for our own family.
The clinic operates within the specialties of Family Practice via Physician Assistant LESLIE GIBSON ; Physician Assistant MICHAEL RIDLEY and Nurse Practitioner KRISTIE FRIEDRICH .
Working together with McKenzie Medical Center, Dresden started providing specialty care in April 2010. The board certified specialties available include: OB-GYN – DR. FORNERA ; General Surgery – DR. CHUKWUOGO ; and Cardiology – Dr. Ranga.
These specialists will be in Dresden on a regular basis and hopefully improve access and convenience to medical care.
The clinic is also providing basic lab testing. X-ray and ultrasound are starting later in 2010. Most other outpatient diagnostic testing can conveniently be scheduled at McKenzie Medical Center. Both clinics are connected electronically and results are readily available to Dresden patients and providers. Finally, a full service pharmacy will be opening later in 2010.
